Fort Loudoun Day & Loudoun Street “KidzFest”

Join us to celebrate Fort Loudoun Day. On May 18, 1756, Colonel George Washington wrote a letter to Lieutenant Colonel Adam Stephen requesting support from Captain Mercers, Captain Bells, and other Companies for 50 skilled in masonry and carpentry to “carry on the work” of fort construction “with spirit and vigour”.

via re-enactments, tours, and children’s activities. Meet George Mercers Company,
Col James Wood, Sons of the American Revolution Color Guardsmen, and an Indian scout.
Visit the Provincial and Ranger Camps to learn about the life of soldiers based at Fort Loudoun.
