Fort Loudoun House “Refresh”
With the Fort Loudoun Well Restoration Project nearing completion, the French & Indian War Foundation is turning its focus on the house at the 419 N. Loudoun Street property, which serves as the Foundations headquarters. Built in the 1830’s, the house is in need of repair. Since the Foundation’s purchase of the property in 2002, minor maintenance has been performed. However, there is much more to be done.
Examples include repairs to the back porches and attached two-story storage area, painting, plumbing, wiring, roof repairs, and exterior brickwork, repointing, and painting. We will prioritize and perform this work, as funding becomes available.
As a non-profit organization, the Foundation receives no regular support from government or other entities. We rely solely on membership dues, gifts, and donations from our generous members and the community. These funds are used for our operation, events, and projects. All funding is appreciated and is prudently managed by our volunteer Board of Directors.
Please consider supporting repairs to the historical house at the Fort Loudoun Historical Site through your tax-deductible donation.
The Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501 (c)(3) of the IRS Code and donations are tax deductible.
