The VA250 Commission will host a free event at the George Washington Hotel in Winchester Virginia. Join the VA250 Commission and the French & Indian War Foundation for a lecture by Carl J. Ekberg, beginning at 5:30. Carl will be discussing George Washington’s relationships with the Frenchmen who were most important in influencing his career, including those at Jumonville Glen, where the first shots of the French & Indian War were fired on May 28, 1754.

Jumonville Glen is part of the Fort Necessity National Battlefield and is located seven mile west of Fort Necessity, at 732 State Rt 2021, Hopwood, PA.
